A Providence school bus driver has been reportedly suspended after letting students walk to school.

Spokeswoman for First Student Inc, Jen Biddinger confirms to WPRO that on Wednesday morning, a bus bringing students to Nathanael Greene Middle School stalled. At this time, 12 students asked the bus driver is they could walk to the school from there.

Biddinger says the male bus driver was employed by First Student Inc and he has been suspended pending the investigation. She would not release his name.
