For the first time since 1996 and only the eighth time in history, no players will be inducted into the Hall of Fall.

In order to be inducted, a candidate must receive 75% of the vote from the Baseball Writers’ Association voting members. Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa, Curt Schilling and the 33 other candidates failed to meet or surpass that percentage.

According to Fox Sports, Craig Biggio, 20th on the career list with 3,060 hits, came the closest with 68.2% of the 569 ballots.

In his first time on the ballot, former Red Sox Pitcher Curt Shilling received 38.8% of the vote.
