Police need public's help in search of two murder suspects

A Central Falls man has died as a result of an assault that occurred on December 31.

Police say the incident occurred in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Acorn Street around midnight. When police arrived at the scene, 48-year-old Simon Hernandez was conscious but incoherent. He was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.

Police are now looking for the public’s help to find the two suspects in the assault. They are described as dark-skinned Hispanic males in their late teens or early twenties. Police say one of the men has a goatee.
