The Menorah lighting at the State House on Monday evening will be hosted by a private group says the Governor’s office.
The menorah is scheduled to be lit at 7 p.m. on Monday night and Rabbi Laufer of Chabad of Rhode Island will perform the lighting.
The governor’s Director of Administration Richard Licth will participate in the lighting in his capacity as the Chairman of the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island Board. Licht has participated in the lighting for several years.
Hanukkah officially began on Saturday.
