The Rhode Island Department of Health says they have confirmed four cases of whooping cough, or pertussis, in Coventry.
According to the Associated Press, three of the students go to the Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School and the fourth attends Tiogue Elementary School.
The Department of Health is recommending everyone get vaccinated. They will be holding a community vaccination clinic on Saturday, January 19 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Coventry High School.
